THE MOTH ORCHID, 14x11, oil

The yellow-green phalaenopsis orchid resembles a moth and is often referred to as the moth orchid. I deliberately put it in a dark background scene to give it a night time feel.   I received this plant last Easter from my granddaughter and I'm glad it will be in bloom for this Easter. 

STEPPING STONES, 11x14, oil

The scene is a secluded picnic area at the Mary Anne Furnace Trail in Codorus State Park, Pa.  I wanted to show the fast flowing creek that the path crossed to get to the picnic table.  www.sharonbenner.com
